Head of Communications part time


We’re looking for someone that can support the day-to-day running of our organisation. This will involve managing the schedule of workshops, mental health sessions, staff meetings and more. You will also be the first point of contact for our students, tutors and volunteer staff. You will work closely with our Tutor Administrator who will assist you in overseeing the tuition programmes, as well as with our Media team working on various projects. You will oversee our Wellbeing programme, which includes scheduling, working with our therapists, developing workshops and more. You will also support the CEO with staff management and recruitment – it’s a really varied role with no two days will be alike, and we are excited to hear what skills and specialisms you can bring to make this role your own.

Responsibilities include:

· A range of administrative duties

· Oversee the Wellbeing programme

· Working with the Head of Media to produce website content

· Staff management and recruitment

Hours: 5-10 hours per week (with scope for development and more hours)

Essential: Experience working with Excel and Word, Google Drive, etc for a business or charity. Demonstrable awareness of the unique and complex experiences of individuals with protected characteristics. Experience in admin.

Desirable: Experience in project management, experience in staff management and recruitment. Experience with mental health work. Experience in community outreach, social justice, charity work

Salary: From £10.00 per hour

Head of Media part time

We’re looking for someone who can oversee the media content we put out into the world. This includes updating our website, running our blog, sending out a regular newsletter and collaborating with our Social Media Lead on projects. Experience working with website builders is essential for this role, and any experience in the non-profit sector a bonus. The role might also involve producing create the occasional infographic and posters for adverts and events, etc.

Responsibilities include:

· Maintaining the Creative Tuition website

· Writing the Creative Tuition newsletter

· Working with guest writers to produce blog articles

· Writing short articles on any news or research that may be relevant to Creative Tuition Collective (largely in STEM and educational fields) to be published on our website.

· Other digital content creation

· Potential podcast or other forms of media in the future

You will be working closely with the Head of Communications and Social Media Lead in this role. This will include things like plan out monthly social media and website content to be in sync. We would be expecting you to come up with the majority of the ideas and stay on top of key dates that are relevant to the organisation, e.g. LGBTQIA History Month, Black History Month, etc. We would love to hear what ideas you have and what you can bring to the role, we have lots ideas ourselves and are excited to bring them to fruition, with your support.

Hours: 5-10 hours per week (with scope for development and more hours)

Essential: Experience working with website builders such as Wix for a business or charity. Experience using software such as Adobe Spark or Canva to create social media content or similar. Demonstrable awareness of the unique and complex experiences of individuals with protected characteristics.

Desirable: Degree in marketing, graphic design or related field, or equivalent experience. Experience in community outreach, social justice, charity work
